Brera S newbie saying hello
Discussion
Hello.
I just got a 2008 Brera S, the one with the prodrive suspention and the lovely red stitched interior. It is only the 2.2 4 cylinder but still what a car. Handles great, ride is superb considering its running on 19 inch wheels. I'm an Audi mechanic for a living and an avid car and motor cycle enthusiast and general petrol head. So it was destined I would have to own an Alfa one day. This one turned up at work as a trade in, MOT about to run out and almost due its 4 year service meant I picked it up reletively cheaply. I'm going to be a bit busy with the spanners and I've already been busy the the shammy and the polish.
Pics to follow.

Absolutely stunning. I know these got a bit of a 'meh' review when they came out, so would be interested to know how the prodrive one compares? Stunnning car to look at, I would love one. Excellent purchase - don't know why but I don't really like Audi's too much these days. There are a few I like (mainly the estate's and the S8) whereas in the 80s and 90s I loved them. They have gone horribly wrong somewhere since then!
Anyway, back onto the Alfa - more pics please! Interior would be nice too!

Road test from drivers republic, sums up the improvements to the Brera by prodrive very well. It really is an exelent handling car.

It really is a great little car, the prodrive developed srings and dampers give a ride is a lot less choppy than a typical hot hatch or sports coupe, yet the turn in is razor sharp and ultimate grip level very very good. Its so much better than the new A3's and TT that a drive every day. Anyway, back onto the Alfa - more pics please! Interior would be nice too!
Only pics I have of the interior are from when i had the seats out to shampoo the carpet, tyring to get rid of the previous owners smell, B&H I think. . . maybe Marlboro. Will try to get some more up soon.

Very nice
and a good find because a 2.2 S with a leather dash is a very rare car.
I am glad that you rate it so highly compared to the Audis,I love mine but have not driven other comparable cars to compare it to. My car is fast approaching 84k miles, has been very reliable and is running very well indeed.
