Folks,

I had a set of these on my previous car (Focus 2.0TDCi) in 225/40/18 size and liked them. Decided when upgrading my standard O18" wheels to 19" on my current car (Octavia VRS) to go with them again (in 235/35/19 size). Been on the car since late summer last year, done approx. 6K miles.

Tyres still have a fair bit of tread left (probably 3-4mm) but I feel I am experiencing increased road noise these past few weeks (in both hot and cold weather).

Is this a fairly standard thing with this particular make/model of tyre or could the same be said of all tyres? Can't say I ever noticed this on my old Focus but then I couldn't swear it wasn't the case.

Yes, all very normal with most tyres as the reduce in tread depth.
Tread pattern will play into the increase - some designs/brands being more noisy than others.
