Just found this in my mailbox: It combines my loves of flying and driving, and I want one VERY BADLY. The best flying car I've ever seen. It's my birthday on Saturday,.. Mrs GuitarTech, are you reading this?

Bump! before it disappears into the PH black hole. I can't believe almost nobody else thinks it's absolutely amazing, what's not to like?

Very cool. Looks like the first proper solution. Could be a fun toy for someone who has everything.

ps

If your title said "flying car" I suspect it may have had more views!

Back in the 80's I had a Bond Bug for a while. If the flying car handled and drove on a similar level, I think I could live with it. The Bug was an absolute hoot, and proved that you don't have to have hundreds of BHP to have fun.

Looks like they have used some Carver technology in that, I like it.

Sorry to burst people's bubble, but thats just an autogyro plonked on something similar to a reliant robin.
As an aircraft engineer and aviation history buff, I can tell you now that unless your name beings with "K" and ends with "en Wallis" then autogyros are incredibly tricky things to master (they were banned for a while due to the mortality rate)

Still - doesnt stop me wanting one either!

Looks cracking to me - it's built on the Carver One, so it'll be a laugh on the road for tilty goodness.

As far as the safety goes - it can't be that bad, can it? They're probably safer than a helicopter in event of engine failure as they're already auto-rotating the lift component. It won't be a comfy ride, but surely they're inherently safer than relying on pilot skill to convert a chopper?
