Photo Restoration?

My OH has an old photo of her when she was little which looks a bit like a photo of our daughter - however, it's faded in places and has an oval ring around some of the photo where it was in an old frame. We don't have the negative, of course

I remember seeing something on BBC Click about photo restoration, but can't find something reliable to tell me about it - Can anyone on PH recommend anything/anyone that can help at all?

ETA - I had found some website, but I would like some advice as to who to use.

If you're comfortable posting a copy here (if you have it scanned), I'll give you an opinion on what could be done.
