Hi does anyone have a spavesaver wheel i am running 18" spiders with 35 profile tyres and if so what car does wheel come from thanks

Holts Tyre Weld is the factory fitted item.

This has ben dscussed before.... I dont believe anyone found one. Also isnt there an insurance issue should you use one?
I have had 2 punctures in my life that have left me stranded - both in a cerb and both due to porous RL7's. So the risks are low. A can of tyre sealant is probably good enough?

I didnt hnow there could be insurance issues and i currently have 2 tins tyreweld in the boot cheers

Stud pattern is the same as a Chrysler Voyager if you must get a spare wheel. Tyre Weld all the way for me.

I've driven a TVR on a space saver and it's not recommended. I don't know about insurance issues but I certainly thought there was a keeping alive issue when using a space saver.

My experience is that you should carry a spare alternator, as I have been stranded 4 times in my driving career by failed alternators and have never had a flat tyre on my own car. The only flats I have had were on other peoples old cars with very old tyres.

I had a flat on mine a while back. Connected the can of tyre weld to it and watched a big splodge of foam appear from the back of the wheel! I wished I'd had a spacesaver that day! (My wedge came complete with one!)

If you had a space saver spare wheel and had to use it, where would you put the flat Spider?? I'm not sure it would fit in the passenger seat and if you did have a passenger, how would you break it to them that their ride was over as the wheel was more important!!! I'm going to guess you'd need the recovery truck to take the wheel!!!

Mazda RX7 with the stud holes drilled open to suit (loads of Jap 5 stud are same pattern), i think its also aluminium so super light! An 18" spider will also go in the boot.
I get 1 10" wide trackday wheel and tyre in my boot, and another on top of the transmission tunnel in the back.

I had an R-34 Skyline when I got my Cerb and I checked and the space-saver from that would fit perfectly if the centre hole was enlarged a bit.

The bolt pattern definitely is the same.
