Porsche Boxster 981 Spyder (what it might look like)

Not sure if this has been posted on here or not, but someone has done a mock up of how the 981 Boxster Spyder may look if they develop one.
If they do, and it looks anything like this (with more powerful engine and less weight), I'll be first on the list for one!!!

If it has an auto roof, then it will be a poor replacement.
The 987 spyder is was it is because of the odd compromise. The unique bodywork was a major plus point.
But those changes and 'compromises' were done for one reason only, to increase the performance, including the handling.
I really don't know whether there will be another soon. If there is, it will be a good 4-5 years away.
The full spyder effect on the new 981 would look good.

specials or should i say not so specials always come out mid lifecycle(ie facelift time in 3years and would be something like the rs60/cayman sport).full specials end of life cycle 7years ala 911gts/r/spyder.so i think we have a long wait until we see the likes of a spyder.dont forget the spyder/cayman R /911gts were run out specials to empty the production line/parts bin to make way for the 991/981.

But for myself, if I want to buy a car, and I want to say I keep this car for the next 20 years, I would always take a manual gearbox, because I believe more, I trust more in a manual than in a double clutch. I've just ordered a Boxster Spyder with a manual shift - and I know that it's working, it's perfect, and it's up to me how I handle things. But PDK makes life easier for normal customers."

Agreed but WR should know the whole world knows what a Boxster is if that's what he's ordered, we don't need to be told it's a roadster 
. You would have thought bearing in mind he's (probably) had some input into the development of the "Spyder" that he would have known the Boxster Spyder is a different model to the standard car.
