First Car Insurance - What Company?
Discussion
Hi guys.
Just looking for a bit of advice on good insurance companies for young drivers. It'll not be long until I have a nice, shiny, pink coloured card known as a driving license to my name and naturally, being a complete car nut, I have been seeking out potential first cars that are fun to drive but not ridiculously expensive to insure.
So far I've narrowed my search down to a classic Mini and a Fiat Punto Sporting 1.2 ( although I'm open to other suggestions too ). Both seem like they will be reasonable to insure ( although young driver insurance is never really " reasonable " as such ), but I am aware that some companies will offer better prices and a better service than others. On that note, I now come to my question. From your own experience, which companies are worth a phone call and which ones are worth avoiding?
As you can imagine, I really can't wait until I pass my test and have my own car. It will be the happiest day of my life so far and I will finally have the opportunity to drive the open roads to my hearts content and, hopefully, get along to some Pistonheads events too.
Thanks for reading my lengthy post and any help is much appreciated.
Cheers

In my younger days, i always found the admiral/ bell direct group of companies to be the cheapest. Never needed to claim, so don't really know about their customer service as such.
But that was before meerkats and fat welsh opera singers. Usually now these seem to be the cheapest for me.......
