Looks like it could be a bit of fun on our roads over here.

How much bigger than a Mondeo is it? If any. They look very similar anyway

It's as about 5 series big, so a chunk bigger than a Mondeo.

Bloody quick with lots of torque smile

That's what i was thinking, seeing that in your mirror you'd think it was another diesel Mondeo if you didn't know any better

I had to service a hearse and 2 limousine versions of these a couple of weeks ago. It was a straight 6, closest thing ive ever come to a proper Ford. Engine at the front, diff at the back. Thought they were fantastic machines. Albeit the hearse wasn't that fantastic!

I was looking at the XR6T but they were a bit poverty spec in the main inside. The G6E has the same engine etc but doesn't have the LSD though. Don't really need a LSD here in oz too much ( wink ) so wanted the leather, premium sound etc more.

Also considered an XR8 but like the XR6t tend to be basic inside in comparison. Also slower... Nice sound though!

Congratulations on a great car.
The Falcon G6ET is the outstanding car in the Ford stable here in Aussie.
As stated 13 secs over the quarter stock standard. 500NM of torque (370 ft lbs).
I love 'em.

My son has a 50th Anniversary Falcon Ute with most of the same features as the above.

The current Falcon range are great cars.

Thanks, very kind. Really couldn't think of anything else for the power v value v newness v comfort.

That's a nice ute - love the 50th Anni models and really considered buying one but hardly any for sale!

P.s Jez - get yourself on the oz forum if you do. Be aware being here can kill your speed desires due to nazi police...

I'm on an OZ Forum in Aussie http://www.fordforums.com.au/ , they have a Turbo section as well. Somewhere between 3 mill & 4 mill posts in total.

Another I inhabit is: http://www.falconxr6turbo.net.au/ , some really strong Turbo cars on here, over 500kw. Have seen some of these in the flesh, running at Willowbank ( http://www.willowbank-raceway.com.au/ ), just a couple of miles down the road. I run my Ute there every now and again.

Excellent thanks for that.

Currently considering the cost/requirement to get to 500bhp/400 kw - I believe it's quite easy with this engine.

They both look fantastic shame Ford wont do a Vauxhall & bring them over here frown
Would imagine that engine is very tuneable to high bhp with relative ease

From what I understand, 300 to 320KW is quite achievable in the 270T motor. Ford worked with Garret to produce a turbo which produced the required output, however was small enough to keep lag upon spooling to a minimum.
400kw is a bigger ask and would require a larger turbo to be fitted along with some other stuff including an exhaust, 4" dump, bigger intercooler, surge tank, shove the battery in the boot and a tune etc.
I have a young mate in NSW who has an BF F6 Ute, which produces 710rwkw. He calimes its quite street drivable......
Not cheap, it will blow your mind though! biggrin And will put you in the 11's. Go hard!
