P38 emergency in Chelmsford
Discussion
Can anyone help me. Bringing my family away for the weekend, and my eas light came on at about 21:00 last night, car dropped to it's bumpstops and the max speed 35mph light came on.
Managed to get my wife 1 year old and 3 year old to the south lodge hotel, but as I thought the AA struck out when it came to helping.
Are there any kind hearted ph'ers out there that may be able to come to our rescue with a lr diagnostic cable? And perhaps help in resetting the eas fault to help me get on my way.
Any useful advice or help would be more than appreciated.

Just been looking around because I wondered if there was a way to read the fault codes without any kit, it would appear not.. you can get a cable that will plug in to your laptop that comes with software to help you read/reset the codes.
If you try here: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/ maybe someone is local who has the kit ?
Not sure you'll get too far without parts though ? Seems when these systems go wrong its usually because something is knackered (provided someone hasn't been sodding about with it, which you haven't).
It seems the compressor is switched via relay 20 - does it click when the system is turned on ?
Is there a schrader valve anywhere in the car that you can manually inflate the system from and then just leave it until you can get it checked over ?
If there is no power getting to the compressor you could consider feeding it directly and see if the system inflates, but thats a bit of a risk because we don't know what problem it has encountered - you could do damage.
I'd leave it on the drive and use another car if possible.

I managed to convince the better half to take the kids to the park resort in clacton by train. I nursed the car down on it's bumpstops, was quite amusing at times, car resembles some sort of "slammed down" pimp mobile! No joy with anybody to look at the car here either, come Monday I may have to pack my family and the rr on the back of an AA lorry for a long journey back home!
It's a shame, as a lr fanboy friend of mine (who is millions of mikes away) claims that the problem can easily be resolved via an eas reset (which I need a cable and software for) and overriding the compressor to reinflate the airbags. This would at least get me home, and back to my local specialist.
What to do, what to do.
I should change the title to "P38 (non lockheed) emergency in Clacton" see if that gets me any help!
