My DB9, flashes the indicators when opening the car, but now doesn't flash the indicators when locking. This is a bit of a pain, as I have to physically have to check the door is locked.

I'm away from home for Easter, and do not carry my owners manual in the car, would anyone have any idea what maybe up, or have I upset some setting.

Does the wing mirrors folding in not give away if it's locked? That's how I judge it.

That's a weird coincidence; within the last 4-5 weeks, mine has started doing the same thing, too...

I have folding mirrors, but it's not enabled to work when locking the car, it's something I was going to ask the dealer to sort when it's next in for servicing.

Very easy to fix. It's in the manual under Security however I don't have it to hand.

I believe you go into the menu on the audio system and there is a security option under there. You tick to flash on lock and opening.

I'm looking at a Vantage manual...
And guessing its the same for a DB9

Next to the radio on/off/volume knob, are 2 buttons - MENU and ENTER
Next to the other knob are UP/DOWN scrolling buttons

With the ignition at position II, and the infotainment centre on, press MENU, select Car Settings...
From Car Settings... Scroll to the required setting, Press ENTER
Use the scroll buttons to make a selection and press ENTER to accept.

Lock Confirm. Light On/Off

God stuff, I need this too. Unless I hear an audible lock then I tend to go back and check frown DB7 had a nice bleep which also let randoms know you had locked up.

I had my mirrors deactivated for the autofold, I prefer them out and very rarely pull them in as I don't leave the car vulnerable often!

You do realise that some poor dealer has now been done out of £120 labour, plus the replacement widget they would have blamed it on don't you! wink

The flash also confirms that the doors are all locked. If for some reason it can't lock something (say because the boot isn't closed properly) it won't flash.
