Had to stop on a roundabout today in Bedford as someone was using the zebra crossing just off the exit, 5 seconds after stopping a stupid bint (see below) went into my rear qtr. Not much damage to look at but as we all know with GRP it's whats beneath the paint thats the issue, nice big crack, scuffs down the leading edge etc. I was thinking of using Central but they are a fair way off so could be a PITA getting my car there and back.
She's also with E-Sure who aren't open till Tuesday which is a PITA. We didn't part amicably, she was worried about her Mother, I was worried (and angry) about me car. Reported to my insurers, but I'd rather deal direct to save having to pay out excess and then reclaim.

Damage to mine;

Hope you get it sorted.

I am sorry though the look on her face actually had me laughing out loud, she looks like someone just told her that her car died hehe

Tony,

Sorry to hear of your woes! Speak to David Hillis (PH'er Plasticman), he's in Willington so very handy for you. I'll PM his number to you.

Olly

Then I suggest you call Adrian at Central. They will collect and return your car and for non fault accidents they have a Ferrari 360 available. smile

She is paying, let her pay properly.

On the bright side it doesn't look too bad. I currently had three deep scrapes down my rear wing thanks to someone who didnt stop

Crikey, what a mean spirited bunch some of you Tivvers appear to be (what with all the horses 'n' stuff). This was a very minor accidental ding, leaving minor damage, and causing no injuries. Why slag off a hapless motorist over such a trivial incident, one of a kind which occurs day in day out everywhere? The woman looks a bit discombobulated, as anyone would be when they have just hit another car; and having to deal with Mr Angry with his happy snapper might not have improved the mood. Jumping out and taking a photo of someone is hardly likely to kick off the dialogue in the most relaxed manner. Why be angry after minor traffic scrapes? Better, I suggest, to stay calm, exchange details, and carry on. I hope that your car is fixed soon.

Hi Tony,

Hope you get it sorted out ok, mate! On the plus point it doesn't look too bad, so let's hope it is relatively easy to resolve.

Good luck!

Ps - if you get stuck for suggestions for body shops, check the H&B TVRCC website, I've put some on there in the links section before.

As Mr Breadvan says, it looks pretty minor to me, and the impact was only against plastic bits of her car which would have flexed during the bump. Hopefully that'll meant there isn't too much unseen damage.

I do think pointing a camera at her probably contributed to the aggressive mood, and I'm not sure why the picture needed to be posted on a public forum.

Damage is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. It was her attitude that stank, the photo was taken to prove she was the driver as I can see her getting difficult. TBH if it had all been amicable none of this would be posted on here and the post yesterday was more because I was VERY pissed off. It was all I could do not to punch her lights out if I'm honest.
Calmed down a lot now though and just looking to get it repaired, so deleting the pic can anyone comment on Central TVR or offer decent alternatives? I'm in St Neots, Cambs and am aware Central are a fair distance away.

Now you mention it, yes she did look a lot like her. Maybe it was her, in which case I retract what I said - the more public hatred the better. smile

Last year I had to chase down a woman who ran a people carrier with kids off the road because she was on her mobile phone. She didn't stop until I slowed her on my motorbike and two other motorists boxed her in.

I got photos of her, her car and her rummaging on the floor to get her mobile which she dropped in the collision.

Didn't stop her claiming it wasn't her in the car. As a witness I got contacted to ask if I could identify her. "I can do better than that". She soon admitted everything.

Quite agree, hope you don't think we're all like that.
