I have been looking for a nice 993 can for a while - pref a manual varioram model. Not a £30k garage queen but not a £15 k heap of junk either. An entity called Target Cars BV in Eindhoven seem to have what I am looking for. They seem to sell a lot of cars so I am wondering if anyone on here knows them and has any views. And does anyone know anyone who could do a PPI in Eindhoven? Thanks in advance. Andrew

I have dealt with them quite a lot in the last few years. Vincent is the main man there; very abrupt but honest and trustworthy.

You can fly to Eindhoven direct from Heathrow and they are 400m from the terminal.

Every car I have ever looked at on their site has been on the Cat register. How they come to have so many of that type of car pass through their hands I don't know?

My dad sold his Hudson through eBay and they bought it for about £12k back in April 2010. The money came through as a bank transfer and off it went on a transporter along with a whole load of cars that the driver had been around the UK collecting.

It soon appeared on their site for 29,950 euros and hasn't moved since! They even used some of the pictures from the ad my dad had done!

I'm not sure what they are like to buy from but selling to them was very easy, there was no messing around and the car was gone in a few days.

So I had the PPI back on the 993 cab they have for sale today and it is fair to say there are some issues. Vincent thinks it is in very good condition - the fact the roof doesn't work doesn't seem to influence that view! Their prices are keen (although they put the price of the one I was buying up when I expressed an interest which I thought was a bit sharp) but as they say "buy on condition"!

One positive is I found an excellent bloke to do the PPI courtesy of some helpful people over on the Netherlamds forum. The search for a good manual 993 cab continues.

Sorry to hear that, but the ppi did its job eh.

I've wasted a bit on ppis myself since the winter on 964s. Pretty much given up for this year.

The cars I've seen advertised by Target cars have always been very grubby. Infact one convertible they had for sale had the rear window torn right through and was flapping about! No mention at all in the advert about what had happened to it or anything.

I'd never bother with them unless they were within an hours drive or so.

Good luck with your search, something will come up. I'm surprised how many cars are popping onto the market lately. Definitely picking up. smile

I was discussing with a mate over a beer this evening whether money spent on a PPI is wasted if you dont buy the car. We concluded that it wasn't. It's annoying, particularly when you have someone who insists their car is perfect despite evidence of a partial respray, rust, a non-working hood etc ., but finding out before is a hell of a lot cheaper than finding out afterwards! Good luck with your search. Neinmeister have a lovely 964 cab but I'd still rather have a 993....

I've been there a few times as I live in the town, mostly looking for 911's or a TVR but each time I've been put off by the grubiness of the whole operation.

Would love for them to have something that I want - one 964 that I tried dripped oil through it's 800m test drive around their unit.

They do have some nice metal in the back behind a fence - Carerra GT, SLR and few Ferrari and lot's of kit cars
