I have a V8V roaster. I have a really annoying rattle just below where the rear speaker should be behind the passenger.
I pulled off the speaker mesh and no speaker! It's not got the stereo upgrade obviously.
So I need to remove this trim panel and I may as well fit a couple of speakers while I am at it.
So. How do I remove this panel? and if I fit speakers to the connectors available behind the panel, will they work and if so, any recommendations on speaker to use.

Thanks is advance, I am sure someone out there has done it.

Hi Mr McMad,

If you have the standard audio system with no speakers then although the wiring is already in the car the amplifier won't run them. You would need to upgrade to the premium system c£1800 for the bits and then get the car programmed with the config file for premium sound.

To remove the panels, take the aluminium bar from behind the rear seats, there are then screws at the base of the panel. The leading edge of the panel is held in with fir tree clips so will need careful prising of the panel, you should then be able (IIRC) to lift the panel over the seatbelt hanger and out. It is a bit more difficult to re-assemble though!

Feel free to give me a call and I can talk you through it (07827 663000)
