Private it may be worth 6-7 at a push but at that money you are easily into hawkeye money so it could take a lifetime to shift if you want a premium for it.................I really hate stealer offers!!!!!

Ar$e has fell out of the Scoob Market. Too many to choose from and to many priced as cheap as chips. Defo buyers market at present.

I just bought a Wagon, 2005, minted, FSSH for 5k. This will be my main run about, and being honest never even considered another Scooby till i seen the prices!! A lot of car for the money if truth be told!!

£9k a year ago sounds like an expensive WRX300. I looked at many of these last year, before buying a WRX PPP, and they could be had for around £6-7k. I eventually bought a WRX PPP with lots of added goodies for £6k. Since then, prices have just fallen though and that is now STi money.

Yes, agree, OP paid over the odds. However, buying from a forecourt has its costs but also some benefits (if indeed that's what you did).

My entirely personal view of the WRX300 is that its just a PPP with some spares from the parts bin at the end of a production run. There are quite a few special editions like this, with of course the P1, 22B etc being true exceptions. That does not make it a bad car, and if you want the STi big wing etc its a good buy, but I don't think it always helps keep a good resale value...

Thanks for all the replies and sorry for late reply...It had 30,000 on the clock when i got it but im loathe to let it go so cheap. It is mint and has no bodywork damage and i will say it is a good quick car and hardly ever gets shown up..From what you have all said i may just keep it and tune it up a bit more for weekend pleasure....anyone know any good tuners in the North Yorks/Durham area..?

PM Francis (ScoobyWRX) and/or Simon (JGM). Good guys and both very helpful.

You may find with the WRX that getting past 300 starts to get a bit expensive as I think you will find the turbo the limiting factor. A custom remap will get you closer to 280bhp which is 15 up from where you are now, and it will also smooth out the flat spots (although, personally, I never had a problem with the PPP map)...

If you are going to start modifying beyond some simple stuff, then the STi is a much better starting point... Also, be wary that you may get the bug, spend some cash, only to end up chopping it in anyway because it gets uneconomical to push your WRX further...
