Rally at Cadwell on Easter Sunday

If anyone is sick of chocolate, warm houses and their family, why not venture over to Cadwell to watch some rallying!

There are plenty of WRC cars and a 6R4 to enjoy, as well as all the other cars.

I'll be in a blue 205 GTi in my first ever rally!

I've just come back from after getting the car scrutineered. It's going to be scary fast! I hope the WRC boys have a long final gear...

What parts of they circuit are they using to need a long gear?

I was thinking about coming along but at £13 I'll give it a miss!
£13 is more than a club race meeting and I hate paying to watch motorsport!

But if anyone want a helping hand give me a shout.

The park straight without a chicane (forwards and backwards). Seeing as most cars top out at 120mph ish, there will be some limiter bashing going on!

It's missing It made a change from all the Subarus

Oh, that's is, as you say, going to give the limiters a real bashing!

What a great day! Topped off by a wet final stage. We had lots of brake problems - a binding front left brake caliper and ensuing boiling fluid led to me losing all brakes at over 100 mph in to a chicane which was certainly interesting.
27th overall and 4th in class. The most important thing was that both myself and my co-driver were smiling, chatting and laughing the whole way.

Thanks, I was happy to push that little thing pretty hard! It was one of the slowest in a straight line so I had to make up for it with my track experience in the bends.

Yeah, people kept asking me if I knew the commentator as I kept getting mentioned. Local, well known rallying father and first ever rally seemed to be on repeat! Cringe!

It was a good rally, I enjoyed the mix of cars. The commentator was really annoying though, either mentioning how Mini's have returned to rallying, Ford Anglia in Harry Potter or your first rally.
