Need some help with a route to Italy
Discussion
I am going to Sienna in June and am really struggling to get a route which will give the max smiles.
I really need some basic guidance with a route to take. I want to drive some of these passes i keep hearing about but i am strugling to put a route together as i'm worried i'm missing things.
We are looking at taking 3 days to get to Sienna and 3 days to get back so from what it appears i have some time.
I am thinking that i should drive through france to Bolzano and do the stelvio pass, but from there where next?
I would like to do a max of 300 miles a day really as i don't want to feel shattered, if i have to do more then so be it but i'd like to relax a bit and take in the places we visit.
Thanks

I would go 1st night Pension Williams in the Black Forest (google it)
Down the B500 to Switzerland, head to Andermatt which is known as the centre of the Alps (stay there) then
Grimsel and Furka passes and off to Stelvio taking the Albula Pass and Ofenpass so you can do the Stelvio the right way and stay in Bormio .. next morning do the Gavia and head where you need to

Reims is 4 hrs from Calas on the peage (motorway) there are no interesting roads but some WW1 battlefields worth seeing ie Vimy Ridge.
We found a great non motorway route from Reims South East to Swiz which is fun and high speed, thru Bar Le Duc, NeufChateau and Epinal to Mulhouse which we did ifrom Calais in a day start 9 fin 5
