Having spent the day at Neil Garner's open day, which was fantastic, I now fancy making the T350 sound a little bit more throaty. Do I just go for a new back box or go the whole way with a new system. Any suggestions or recommendations. Is it the JP back box or the big bore cherry bomb from ACT.

Cheers boys, so many things I want to do, what first. New nitrons and having met the Dave and Chris from D&C today, top blokes by the way, a new interior is also on the list. But first must be loud rumble, it may never replace the Griff but must try.

Look forward to your posts once you have yours fitted yum

Racing Green cans and Decats. Had the cans for a couple of years and Str8six did the decat on Wednesday for me. It sounds epic. Not too different under 3k revs but unleash the beast and yikes oh and the pops and bangs have increased as well it bangs in 5th when you let off at 80mph!!

Have TVR Powers back boxes on my T350, and it sounds amazingthumbup
Having owner 9 tiv's over the years, I can honestly say that this is the best sounding one by far.

Before splashing out on new cans you should try just removing the wadding from the stock ones. I have had this done to my currant tuscan and before that my chim. They both sounded amazing and have had many superb comments about the sound from the tuscan being "the best iv heard". Its well worth doing first as i think i only got charged £50

Is this something that anyone can do?
Can you post a pic / instruction?

The tuscan was already done before i got it, i believe by Hexham Horseless Carriages. I got the chim done at dreadnought in scotland, all they did was cut open the box section just before the rear pipes, removed a load of wadding (looks like loft insulation) about a black bin load and then welded it back up. Like i said it only cost £50 so i would think an hour labour. The effect is over 50% louder and loads of pops and bangs. Dreadnought are a nice bunch and im sure they wouldnt mind explaining it to you.

Hi Graham, great day by the way on Saturday
Now you don't happen to be after the loudest car next year do you?? hehe

I had JP seperate cans on the rear of mine with cats fitted, i thought these sounded fantastic as well but not probably as deep as the Power ones!

Best bet it to attend a few more meets like Chatsworth so you can judge your own opinion.

Great to finally met the "Essex Boys", loved the steam gauge in the Griff, hilarious rolleyes
I have already spoken with Neil today and he is making some enquiries, although have listened to various soundtracks on YouTube and the TVR Power back box sounds awesome and is quite reasonable. Will keep you all posted, but probably can't make Chatsworth.

I'm sure by now everyone accepts the TVR Power/Racing Green system is "loudest", add decats and it's even more so, that said the JP system does sound well, mine is a bespoke system similar to the Power/RG system, just more so evil

You'll love it. De-cats on their own sound raspy IMHO but mate them to the JP box and the noise is awesome.
I originally had the JP on it's own, very loud but add the De-cats and it's another level, especially the fireworks on the overun. Luckily enough the in cabin noise doesn't really increase over the sole JP all the noise now being emitted out the back of the car.

Hi mate, can't wait to get the car back from Matt this week to hear it's angry noise :P Your advice was one of the reasons I went down that route smile Will try and pop over to the Thursday meet. Are you going to be there? I'm hoping Lazersag and Flying are there too, for a bit of a chat.

It's nothing personal Kev smile, can assure you I do actually exist though....
Probably won't be able to make Thursday, I don't get in from work till around half 7 by which time I'm guessing most of you are getting ready to head home - how come the meets aren't Sundays any more?

Its lucky im thick skinned or is that just thick;), we are usually there till around 10 so why not pop in on the way home. Prove you do exist.
Summer months tend to have a lot happening at the weekends so the meets move to 3rd Thursday for April to September.
