A little ray of sunshine and hope.

I've posted a couple of replies to the effect on others posts but not done one of my own but our little girl cat went missing 6 weeks ago yesterday on the 24th Feb.
Just vanished in a 45 min period. We searched everywhere, put posters up, offered a reward, went out at early oclock but nothing.
We'd about given up hope and accepted that it would just stay a mystery. Such a shame for an animal who went through brain surgery 18months ago and survived and really didn't go out much.
And then last night we got the call. Tentative voice on the end "err have you lost a cat as we have found one with your phone no on her tag". She's not very well.
To cut a long story short we had her collected and to the vets in about 20 mins. Bear in mind she's had no epilepsy meds for 6 weeks and what we saw was a cat that has dropped from 6kg to 4kg and couldn't stand or walk.
Anyway a rehydration drip, some powerful sedation and her normal keppra and 24 hours later we have a slightly wobbly but very much alive and pleased to be here cat.
Not out of the woods yet but definitely getting there. And to say we are pleased, relieved and happy is an understatement.
There have been a couple of lost cat posts recently so chin up it can work out, just keep the faith.
Happy Easter one and all.

awww what great news she has been found as sounds like she was on a downwards slope and perhaps wouldn't have been quite so lucky if much longer, Fabulous news.
Where did they find her? I wonder if she was locked in somewhere..
bless her and wishing her s speedy weight gain and recovery

Went out to see the 3 15 yr old lads who found her today - reward duely offered and accepted.
Parents suitably impressed with their offspring and so they should be. There's hope for the younger generation after all.
Sitrep - steadily improving. Managing stairs and hops onto the bed to sleep. It'll take a while but we'll get there.
