I'll be there.

Does anyone object to me bringing my video camera and mounting? I'll mention it on the day, but thought it's worth checking. I'll only use it when deemed suitable of course...

We'll be there too if you don't mind a couple of interlopers from south of the river...!

See you there! I was going to bring my camcorder too. I have a new suction mount and need an excuse to try it out.

If it's the b-hague suction mount, then it's the same as mine. Have already given it a good testing round Brands Hatch and the hardest thing is trusting it will stay on!

I had no problems, though I have read on the easytrack site that one of these was left attached to a windscreen in the sun. It heated up and cracked the windscreen! Something to be wary of, as the weather looks good for Saturday (unless I've now jinxed it!).

Might be able to make it. I tried out the B1039 last weekend (www.pistonheads.net/gassing/topic.asp?t=9780&f=45&h=0) and that's quite good. Looking at the map I think you could link that up with the A1198 to Huntingdon, and then back to the B1057 between Haverhill and Gt. Dunmow.

Don't know how busy these roads are on a Satuday afternoon though.

Cheers,

Andy.

I can't make Chatsworth, my parents and girlfriends parents are visiting us and we're taking them to Le Manoir. It's been booked for months - if only it was the week after.

Great to meet up with you all today, special thanks to Ross for a great blast round the back roads of deepest Essex and for guiding us back to the main group!

Hi, I was the starmist blue Griff from Chelmsford that turned up at MacDonalds to say 'hello' but couldn't do the afternoon spin. Glad to hear that you all had a great run out in the afternoon. Hope to see you all again sometime soon. You certainly looked (and sounded!!!!) impressive filing out onto the roundabout. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

I would like to thank everybody that turned up for the meet and the run out as well as other TVR owners who happened to be passing and didn't know about pistonheads - thanks for making a great afternoon and hope you enjoyed the weather.

Keep your eyes open for the next Harlow meet, probably meet at the same venue, but try other routes.

If anyone has any pics/video clips please e-mail them to me via my profile and I'll put them on my website.

Thanks all for coming to our 2nd "Harlow meet". It was really nice to see so many of you, and what lovely weather. What a sight that must have been for all those lucky sun pub drinkers. Mark the guy who came out with me has already began his search for a TVR. "he's hooked"

Ross and myself will be sorting out a date for the next one sometime in July. Hopefully we can get you all back again and some more piston head readers.

Ross's pics will be up soon, but thanks AlexR for your pics.

Well C U all soon.

Great run out again, cheers all.

Lost the convoy on the second run out which it turns out was a stroke of luck... heard a rattle under the car and pulled up to find the exhaust mount had popped out again.

Good old Halfords lads patched me up for the drive home thankfully.

Good to see everyone. I've got some photos and a short video clip of all the cars starting up as we left the pub. I'll post these either Wednesday or Thursday so keep checking back here.

For the next meet, I don't mind doing some pre-meet driving to check out possible routes so we can do a quick route map with stop offs... Might help keep the group together...

Ok, I've posted a video clip and also just the sound file of the cars starting at the pub. I've kept the sound quality so they are fairly large downloads, but I can compress these further for anyone with modem connections...

I would like to add my appreciation to those already posted. Great day out! I must now try to get together some edited video highlights!

I am interested in the North Weald event. What's the low-down on that?

It's happening on Sunday 16th June - meet up at McDonalds, Junc 7 M11 for McMuffins and Coffee at 8.00am, yes it's an early start but that's to ensure that we arrive early and have a place as they limit the amount of vehicles taking part. There is an entry fee to get into the venue (£15) and also a fee to run up the strip (£15ish). All runs are timed up the strip so there will be no hiding....
