Individual senior womens omnium champion today at the world track champs.
She is just 19, not "built" for track riding so who knows how well she can go on the road in a few years time.
Before the omnium she was part of the team pursuit gold medal team that set the new world record.
Fabulous rider and first started racing at Welwyn track where I race in the track league. Really hope she comes and does a parade lap of the track in her rainbow jersey at the start of this years league.
Watch out for her at the Olympics - it is a question, hopefully, of how many golds she ends up with.

What I like about Laura is she comes across in interview like she was riding to the shops to get some milk and then turned into the velodrome by mistake! 'Oh did I win? Not sure how that happened!'

This is a potentially misleading measurement (it's a single figure from her power meter, so impossible to know if it was a peak, average or low), but 343W during the pursuit in the omnium at the world championships, apparently.http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gallery/article/trac...

That's just the 3km pursuit, one of 6 events that make up the omnium. But no way of knowing whether that was a lull in her output for that event or indicative of the average.It won't be her max, but it could be the current, or average.
ETA - looking at the other women's omnium pursuit outputs from that page, it seems to be the highest of the lot anyway, with most of the others in the low 300s.
