I only noticed that heated mirrors are wired to the heated..

I've got heated wing mirrors in my Civic Type R, but you can only heat one at a time, with a L/R selector switch next to the mirror pan control. They defrost very quickly and quickly - deice and then steam off any moisture on them in no time. They are a bit redundant now though, since I garage my car at night so it's never frozen over in a while.

Are you being obtuse..? You do know the brakes only stop the car when it's moving, don't you?
The car unlocking the doors when you press the brake pedal would be a comparative to the above example yes?

If you leave it in the middle it will do both ! :-)Wafflesmk2 said:
rear window screen. So when you fire up the heated rear screen, the mirrors heat up too.
Always suspected that of being the case, but did a little experiment on the way home tonight and confirmed it.
Anyone else not know this?

I've got an old BMW 325ix with the winter pack. It has heated door locks, mirrors, washer jets and a second high pressure screenwash system. All in 1987.
Not as compleat but a 1981 cortina Ghia had em and the granada had em earlyer than that, not exactly that complicated just a wire stuck into the foam backing/sticky pad tthat holds the morror to the motor plate, basicly a dead short (like a leccy bar fire at home) and bloody expensive to replace !Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
