Hove to Henley on Thames avoiding motorways
Discussion
Bit of a road trip in the Chim next Sunday to Henley and want to avoid motorways - yawn - the most obvious would be:
A23 to Bolney, then A 272 and A24 to Broadbridge Heath
A281 toGuildford, then the Hog's Back and A331
A321 Little Sandhurst to Wokingham and under the M4, then Twyford to Henley.
Good route or an effin' nightmare in traffic/cameras/numpty terms?
Any small diversions that are worth taking for the grin factor?
I'll be leaving before 7am to avoid being trapped in Hove because of the Brighton marathon, so hopefully should avoid too many of the 'we're off to the garden centre at 4 miles an hour dear isn't it nice' brigade.
Thanks, Mash
