I know this seems to be a common issue, but so far tapping the clock/dash, resetting the trip, just carry on driving don't seem to have solved it!

Is there another way of coaxing the clock to restart, or shall I just carry on and hope it start up again sometime?

Thanks

In the same boat with my V8S. Someone said to drive along a row of cats eyes, but that has not done the trick.

Try resetting the trip whilst driving and keeping it pressed for a bit or pressing it vigorously it might be a fix it worked on mine until th 0's came round again

Could be worth a try I guess.

I did try the trip reset button a few times whilst driving earlier, but that didn't do anything.

Probably a silly question, but when the odometer stops I take it the trip meter does the same?!

Most likely! Has it stopped on 000000000's if so it may need to be sent off to speedy cables to be fixed

Trip is showing 0, and odometer is stuck between XX599 and XX600 I think.

Maybe I'll see what happens the next couple of times, and then decide.

I may be taking the top of the dash off in the next couple of weeks anyway, so maybe I can tap some life into it.

Hi,
Get the car above 50 mph and get the passenger to lean accross and whack the dash above the speedo,(not tap, hit hard)
This advice came from a demostration at fernhurst open day a few years ago and worked every time (4ish) since!
Ps if anything falls off or breaks -not my fault!
Have fun,
Belchy.

I'll give it a try next time I have a passenger!

Clock up as much fun as possible whilst odo is stuck?

Le Mans is only a couple of months away, and I hear the Highlands is nice this time of year.

I had this, 60,000, aparently common. I piched up this little gem from someone on here. While driving push the trip reset button and then slide your finger off and allow it to snap back. It works.

If I'd have known it definately worked I'd have left it longer!
