Diameter of guages...
Discussion
I have a feeling may both be wrong (58mm was for the extra gauges I fitted now I've checked), for the originals I used a 60mm holesaw (2&3/8") & 102mm (4") ~ but I flush mounted them - so probably 2mm more if they are the sunken versions? ISTR the standard 430 recessed dials are classed as 65 & 105mm (the dia from the outside of the bezel).
It all gets a bit confusing with the size of the hole or the size of the dial

It all gets a bit confusing with the size of the hole or the size of the dial
& not knowing what you want the measurements for...I have a '94 Chim (3 warning lights between the main dials and black rimmed ETB - I assume - gauges) with knackered dash veneer ...
As she's a daily driver I would like to try to avoid having her out of comission for a few days / weeks while the dash is reveneered so I have managed to get a spare main dash and radio panel to veneer in advance ... thing is it's the slightly later dash with 5 warning lights between the main dials and I wanted to make sure that it would fit the same gauges that I have.
At the same time I'm wanting to move the indicator warning lights, the handbrake and brake fluid level warning lights and the main beam warning light up to the main dash from the radio panel (I have found some really nice looking logo'd warning lights on CBS Online) and then move the alarm telltale onto the steering wheel cowling where it used to be.
Now, ChimV8 has sent me the measurements from his old dash and it looks like the main and secondary dials are the same size but it looks like the blower fan switch hole is a different size 29mm on this later dash against 24mm on his old dash so I'm guessing the fan switch is different.
I measured the large / secondary dial holes in my "spare" dash as 99mm / 53mm which seems to tie in with what ChimV8 measured on his old dash which looks the same as my current dash that's in the car.
Hopefully I should have a spare radio panel coming as the spare I currently have is the later one that has completely different switches (and uses a separate controller box as far as I can gather) but I've used that as a "how to veneer" test but when I get the older style one to work with then the intention is to araldite a couple of plates behind the lens slots, fill them with body filler and then veneer straight over them as they'll no longer be needed (the warning lights will be up on the main dash remember).
So - that's what I'm trying to do.

your plan seems similar to mine, great minds think a like.
the original gauges aren't ETB though, I am getting a new set made by ETB and they were quite up front in saying they didn't make the original ones
I think they didn't want the pool quality relating to them?
any way, I have gone for one of these warning light strips

then i am fitting the savage switches with LEDs in so you dont need the extra warning lights below the switches

This should tidy it up quite a lot hopefully

I wonder who did make them then...?
