Hi All,
I am looking for a nice V12V in Mako Blue or light silver colour. Preferably with bucket seats.

If you know anybody who wishes to sale their car, let me know :-)
Thanks for passing the message along !

Both colours are absolutely stunning, but I would edge towards Mako blue after seeing it in person. The was it changes colour in the sunlight is just fantastic.

Yes, I am well too aware of the Mako Blue for sale on Pistonheads...
I am not going to drag on the details.
But after driving 2h30 to get to Grange, paying an overnight stay close by, and made a very very good offer although the car is not in perfect condition with several stone ships and a broken front splitter, they would not let it go...
I came back not very happy but determined to find the right car for me.

Good for you. I waited for the right car for me for over a year, it's worth it for a long term purchase.Just browse for it every few days, everybody loves Mako

I think I prefer Lightning, but it'd come with a suicide-black interior in all liklihood

George H, Just like you feel about Morning Frost (which I adore), I must concede that I feel similarly for Mako Blue. Mako blue one for sale here - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3531238.htm
Before you ask: Yes, I have seen it in person. I have done several laps around the Daytona 24hr track in a Mako Blue V12V with an AM PDC instructor and I just don't understand the Brits' fascination with this color. It just looks like periwinkle or pastel blue to me. Good thing Astons come in a variety of colors to satisfy all tastes.

I feel the need to reply to this topic! I think the distinct lack of any type of car in pale blue on the roads together with the stunning stunning looks of the V12V make the car a wonder to behold.
Absolutely everyone, friends, family, work colleagues, even strangers on the petrol forecourt who have seen the car always say what a gorgeous colour it is before anything else.
Plus most of the Mako V12V's built have gone overseas leaving less than 10 so far in the UK afaik.
Like other Aston colours, sunlight does bring the best out of the colour with pale gold, silver and a richer pastel blue coming through.

These 2 photos highlight the subtle change in hue depending on light:-

The Mako Blue is probably one of those color that you either love or hate.
My wife thought it was too girly as a color :-)
And to be fair, sober, dark colors suit the AM spirit better.
The number of cars made in that blue color no doubt reflects the customers appetite for that color... And the reason why they are difficult to sell on.
I think it is a great color and I will have to be patient... But knowing me, I might let myself tempted by one of the black ones within a few weeks !
