Campsite recommendations in Western France?
Discussion
Evening all,
I'm looking for recommendations for somewhere to camp in Western France in August.
We're starting off in the Dordogne, and will be coming back via probably Le Havre or Calais, and are planning to add in an extra week to 10 days on the way back up somewhere.
The only real criteria are the following...
- Family oriented with decent facilities for young kids (9, 6 & 4).
- Stuff to do nearby, ideally including a couple of decent places to go if it rains.
- Coastal would be nice, but not essential.
- As chav free as possible.
Other than that, completely open to any suggestions.

Some years ago we spent a week here :

The nearby beach was amazing and this is the only place we have ever asked if we could stay another few days (sadly they had no space).
We had a caravan, but honestly it was one of the best holidays we've (all the family) ever had.
A lovely peaceful campsite, nice pool (not huge), lovely local beaches and towns, close to lots of the big 'must see' things in Brittany. The couple running the Haven part of it (I don't think they use it anymore, sadly) were also great with the kids, which meant they loved going to the club and gave us a bit of a break each day!
Not sure if that's Western enough for you though...

I've bitten the bullet (for the kids etc) and booked a Keycamp near St Malo. (I dont do tents so staying in a chalet home thing)
They kids will love the 5 pools, zip rides, football etc, but I might end up murdering someone
, on the pother hand, Brittany is lovely so intend to get out and about too
