Went for a DVLA check here in norway before registering it... they pointed out that the exhaust might be too noisy. They had the car on a ramp, tapped the backbox and it sounded empty! I had the box sleeved in england before I took it to Norway... the guy who did it said hed weld in two straight pipes and put some of the wadding back in.... riiiight

So I dropped the exhaust, drove it down to my machine and welding guy and cut it open again. HiAce looked badass on the way down there cool

And guess what! Now I know where the resonance and all the pops and bangs came from:

So I figured I had to do this right to get the exhaust approved by the norwegian DVLA. Bought new insulation (industrial stuff made to take thousands of celcius) and took two 2" stainless pipes and drilled some holes in them...

Tom helped me a lot, also welds all my customers cracked alu rims...

After putting the whole thing together, welding and putting the exhaust back on the car, I started it up. Actually sounds very nice, much quieter, but better than standard... Im getting clives Y piece soon so thatl probably help a bit. Gone is all the in-car resonance that I got from both the original box and the empty one clap

Im surprised thats going to pass,it will be louder than useing perforated pipe ..I hope its gets through but remember Clives Y piece will make it very loud with your exhaust

I would of gone totaly standard then fitted the Y piece.
