998 Imp engine WANTED

Hi I am restoring a Ginetta G15 and with the intention of doing some hill climbs and sprints.

I am looking for a 998cc Imp engine if anyone can help?

Ben Boult (Corely Conversions) will do new 998s to any spec, provided you don't mind waiting - no connection other than as a customer.

Be warned that anything 998cc and up will cost lots of the folding stuff, even second hand, particularly if you want to go beyond the standard spec. The days of picking up a 2nd hand 110bhp+ race engine for £500 in the club mag are long gone

Used to run a Stilleto with a 875 during the week day runs, swapping to a 998 for the weekends. Took half an hour to swap once practised...

Aint that the truth! I was checking out the cost of race bits last year, an engine will cost you the price of a good rolling chassis a few years ago and I mean a good one!
