Genius or terrible?

Came across this on Ebay. My first reaction was that it was really terrible and not something that should ever happen to a classic car. On reflection (and reading what the seller has written on his build blog) I now think it is a work of genius.

I quite like it, its like a 60s concept car, like something you would have in Matchbox form, as for sacrilege, I dotn think the world is short of mint, original E types.

GAUGES ARE DOLPHIN SET IN TO A SOLID BIRDS EYE MAPEL DASH.

WIRING IS EZ WIRING 12 CIRCUIT.

SEATS ARE FROM A DATSUN 260Z.

HEADLIGHTS ARE 2004 FORD TAURUS,TAIL LIGHTS ARE SPEEDWAY CATSEYES LED.

FRONT AND REAR LIDS WORK ON POWER LINARES

BODY MODS ARE TO MUCH TO LIST,THAIR IS NO FIBERGLASS USED ON THIS CAR IT IS ALL STEEL.

If yours gets used as often as mine it would be a bit red too also a doormouse is about 3 inches long
