Hi, Can anyone give me some advice?

We have returned home to Wales after 10 years in Republic of Ireland. We apparently need a Certificate of Conformity for our Peugeot 206 (2003)which we brought over here with us, in order to get English plates for it. Can anyone tell me where we can get one from, ideally for not too much money (as we are dead short of this at the moment).

Many thanks to all. Hope you can help.

My understanding is that because the 206 was sold in the UK it should already have a certificate of conformity , perhaps Peugeot themselves can help you out.

Try having a browse of this http://www.dft.gov.uk/vca/other/importing-a-vehicl...

Thanks for your reply, I will check out the website.

However, in effect the car was'sold' to me. I am disabled so I got a Motability car over here. The garage came and collected the Peugeot on trade plates and it is currently at their main depot, as we took delivery of the new car about 2 weeks ago. However, they will not give me the part exchange money until we have obtained English plates for it.

The DVLA has told me that I will also need to have an insurance certificate so will have to get one of those temporary policies for a couple of weeks along with this Certificate of Conformity. At this rate we will be paying out more to get it registered than it is worth lol

If you are in Wales, isn't it Welsh plates you want for it?
