What's been done here?

Hi all.

Just seen this posted in a spotted thread over at another forum and am wondering what has been done to this cerb... is it just a cosmetic thing or has there been some engine swap or the like? Apologies if this is something well known!

It's an aftermarket bonnet and mark 2 lights.

Only had a quick look but it looks like a certain Amazon's number 2 Cerbera. You can tell its hers as it appears to be smiling post the pleasure of being driven by her.

These bonnets were made by a firm in St Osyth,i think they still have the mold .I have a pair of their rear light clusters.

I'm assuming it's to divert heated air from the rad away from the engine bay? I was looking at mine today and thinking of something along those lines. Does anyone know the name of the firm, or have a link?

Yup same as mine and can confirm it does help with cooling a lot. I have never seen my cerb ever go over 92 degree's. I have been in the most torrential Scottish rain ever with no issues

In my view it isnt neccessary - a healthy rad, good coolant, working fans etc will mean the car doesnt overheat.

I was thinking more of a reduction in cabin heat!

Oh ok I dont know if it makes a difference. The best way is to get your manifolds coated.

They re-covered my airboxes and airfilter cover in carbon, not the sprayed version as supplied by tvr .

No effect to that, it is still 1000,00000000 Degrees in there on a hot day It just looks

Yep, this car is indeed No2 Cerbera.

Bonnet was made by Plasticman (David Hillis - 07771 928302), it is the same as the one Mike has on his race car. I believe that the purpose is to help keep the nose down at speed (mine also still has the splitter underneath as well! ). I suspect it does have cooling benefits too, but as far as I know, that was not he primary reason for the mod. It is also incredibly light! (David did the headlight facelift too btw).

All Cerberas are exciting

I'm sorry, it's not my car. Just my photography
I don't know too much about these cars but I'll keep an eye out at next month's Ace meet so I can take more pictures!
