Just watched this and well ok, so there are genes in some people which don't tell them when their full etc, it all still boils down to eating good food and a sensible amount based on the amount of exercise you do.
These people who say changing diet or doing exercise doesn't work for them are talking cobblers sorry, if you eat less calories than you burn you lose weight, you have to unless your metabolising air or have worked out how to photosynthesise.
I'm sure the cry of "oh it's genetic, I can't help being fat" as they stuff another mars bar or portion of chips in will be even more prevalent now.

Well, yes. I think the summary of the programme is:
-trauma and stress in life can make you unable to control your hunger (but you can still control your hand from putting s
t in your mouth - EFT? Hypnosis? Handcuffs?)
-deal with the trauma/stress issues and the hunger hormone isn't a problem (EFT? Hypnosis? Handcuffs?)
-gastric operations somehow manage to reset hormones
-parents can be to blame especially during gestation
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I can see that when the moose had had her gastric operation she thougth a magic wand had been waved and hence her cravings went. The bit the programme lacked was any examination of the before and after brain scans of people who had achieved significant weight loss through diet & exercise and had in effect created their own magic wand. Surely their brain scans would be similar to magic wand moose?

It's possible or it may just be that they realised they needed to tap it on its head ('scuse the pun) and the screen wouldn't have lit up blue like in the before shot. Complete guess by me, mind!Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
