Sky or Virgin but without wires?
Discussion
My boss is looking to get Sky/Virgin in his new place however the TV is situated in the middle of the room and he does not want to run new wires as this would mean lifting the carpet and floorboards which he does now want to do. What is the best way for him to get the signal from the Sky/Virgin box to the TV without it being intrusive?
Thanks

Lift the carpet/floorboards and put the wires through.
There's always wireless HDMI, but I have no idea how good it will be.

You could try and buy an old Panasonic Z1 http://www.avforums.com/reviews/Panasonic-TX-P54Z1...
It came with a separate media box which transmitted the signal "wirelessly" to the TV.....was supposed to work very well.
Might be worth trying to find one secondhand. To my knowledge there hasn't been another one made since with this set up....it was very expensive when it was new.

Th z1 did hdmi over IR so if you walked passed it went off :P What wires has he got already? Bear in mind that both sky and cable need connecting to the ouside world so if he isnt going to run any cables then the sky/cable box will have to sit where ever the cables come in. With a sky box you could send via RF and use a sky eye so he could switch channels but only with basic picture quality.
