Foilatec,, those purveyors of vinyl stick on stuff, have come up with a spray on vinyl. Available in silk green, matt black or metallic anthracite, its 50 euros for 2 cans, which is enough to spray 4 wheels. But wait, it can also be used on other parts like door mirrors or bumpers.

This guy can't wait to get some!

Seems a good enough idea, if it works.

If this is easy to put on even this is a brilliant idea. Bonus is it's cheap and if you decide you don't like it it's a damn site easier than paint. Can't see the problem with it to be honest.

Well, now you've put it like that maybe it is decent. I just saw it and thought BARRY! Maybe its because I saw it after coming from the Astra with orange wheels in the badly modified thread hehe

Great idea if you can get a good finish on it.

Wonder if they're looking at doing a clear coat, great for protecting front bumper/splitter and you can just peel off and re-apply if it starts looking tatty.

Initial thought: why?

After some thought though, makes a lot of sense (if you can have colours other than black or green). if it comes out even-ish (not expecting concourse) then it's great - eg been thinking about different colour wheels but don't want to pay the 200 odd quid on a whim, and again if I don't like it.

Why is this any more "chavy" than a can of spray paint?

Very good idea. Would be good to have a surface more resistant than paint (I imagine it is) for wheels that you can just peel of at a later date.

More colours and a cheaper price would be good though. Esspecially if it requires some skill to spray. Not like you would really want to get one can extra just incase...

Might be good way of protecting your wheels against a Winters worth of salt.

Yea, seems like its just another plasti-dip, which can be bought for £15 a can, and lots more colours.
