long time lurher, first time poster needs help please
Discussion
evening all. i need some help please, next month i collect a bit of a windfall of £32k and am looking for a daily driver and a funday sunday car.
i have done the M3,alfa gtv v6, s2 elise, 996 and boxter.
i kayak and have a kid so need roof rails and am seriously thinking of the new kia sportage as i think they are great bang for the buck and the warrenty turns me on (ooh err!!) but would think pre owned x5 etc etc etc
but...what do i do for the funday car,? the caterham is an itch ive thought about for a long time as is a kit car, but i always talked myself out of it.
the kia would be "almost new so im guessing about 18k.
thanks for any help, ive just found its easy to choose when you dont have the money , it suddenly becomes difficult when you do !!!!!

Leaves you with a good chunk towards something else.

£18K will get you a '61 plate Sportage 1.7 diesel with a bit haggling and all the warranty cover that you need from the look of the Kia web site.
That leaves £14K for a play thing. I am VERY biased so would suggest a TVR Chimaera. £11-12K would get you an excellent example with the necessary chassis work done and a strong engine. You may even get one from a dealer with a bit of a warranty and a decent service done just before collection. The balance of £2-3K can be left as a pot for anything needed on the TVR for a couple of years at MOT time.........or go faster bits and pieces
