Hi - After much deliberation and saving of money I am looking to get something a bit more lively to go with my everyday car, and a T350 fits the bill perfectly. I had a look at this T350 T earlier today:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3806039.htm

Anyone know this particular car?

I note that contrary to the advert the engine is standard not 4.0 as stated.

Cheers,

Andy

Can't for the life of me find the thread, but there was someone who went to view and seemed to think it was a catD. If it's not then it looks a reasonable price and spec!

I do seem to remember that thread.
Also, looking closely at the drivers seat bolster theres wear and cracks in that that make it llok more like bison interior (vinyl style fake leather) than the genuine full hide which was a 2k or so option when new. Happy to be wrong on this but a lot of people, especially non specialist TVR traders mistake the 2.

I asked the dealer if it was CatD or not and he said not. He said that he sold a Tuscan recently that was CatD, so maybe that was it?

The car itself seems clean, some drivers seat wear and tear and the gaiter on the gearstick is past its best. Paint is looking nice, and the wheels have been recently painted. Looked like there has been some water in the front lights at some point as you can see the water marks. I'll give it a drive when its not raining and see how that goes smile

Go to the HPI website and pay £35 for a full and complete report on the history of the car. £35 !!!! Don't take anyone's word for it - you're thinking of spending many thousands of pounds here. You will need chassis number and a few other bits of info from the seller. If he won't give them to you walk away. I wouldn't have bought either of my TVRs without that information.

Slightly worrying! I will see what he has to say on that. Thanks.

Great information - thanks. This backs up the point that it has been resprayed - although in a pretty similar colour.

Cheers,

I can beat that - got a ladybird in mine, dead now obviously. Found it a year ago crawling around though god knows how it got in as from what I can see it's all fully sealed??? Way too much trouble to remove the lens and get it out so it sits there as a warning to others.

Well unless you're a TVR owner with a rabid fear of ladybirds I'd say ladybirds.

dont think a dealer can take away your consumer rights, afaik they have to give you a warranty-even a cheapie has to have a bit of cover. be interesting what he says if you push the issue. wonder what the warranty cover would be like from a dealer who up front tries to shirk it anyway.

exactlt this. Sales of goods act means that car traders have to put right any faults which were part of the spec in the sales advert. This means there's not really any extra burden for them to provide a minimum 3 months warranty so it's really become the standard norm as a goodwill gesture. If a trader/dealer is not willing to offer this then that's enough badwill to walk away and look elsewhere

yes mate I had the same conversation with another trader who said no matter what this is law they must cover the car
with a warrenty , how good it is is another matter .
