What will my TVR do tomorrow when it goes to the garage for its MOT?

The form is not good. Last time, it made it to the test centre but could not be started once there.
The time before, it refused to leave my garage at all. (Both faults were very annoying but easy to fix once found)

So this time, will it actually be tested? What will it fail on? Or will it defy the odds and pass?

Place your bets! biggrin

I'll post the result sometime after 5pm tomorrow.

The wipers only work when the windscreen is wet. I am quite thankful for this in general.

Your flux capacitor will be malfunctioning.

What ? You haven't fitted one yet. Of everyone on the Griff forum I'd have put my money on you having tried one out wink

1978. You can't travel to a time before you were born according to the current theories on the subject.

But not for Dr. Sam Beckett.

I think the TARDIS is a better implementation of a time machine than a TVR.

Two possible options

The tester gets in, fiddles with the seatbelts, writes the mileage reading on a notepad, tries the wipers and screen wash. He then looks about with a puzzled expression but can’t find the door handle. After a suitable period of time you agree to let him out but only after he has agreed it is a pass.

Or

The car passes but from about half way through the test to the point you leave the tester will be heard to grumble something similar to :- mumble mumble.... call that a handbrake, nothing like a brake and you can’t even work it with one hand, not a brake at all, nothing like a brake... mumble mumble, my kids bicycle has a better brake than that, call that a brake pah, mumble mumble.

It's raining. And thundering. Ideal TVR weather.

It didn't complete the test. Engine wouldn't idle for natural idle test, then battery died, probably due to altenator regulator dropping out. Most other things seemed fine.

why not just nip back to 1980, get the mot done there, all they did then was accept a couple of quid for a pint and fill out the formhehe
