I had a brilliant Spa/ring trip lads, thanks to all.

The ring was good in the M3 and the epic weather we had at Spa made the Lotus really sweet. here's the last few laps i did with Leon's mate (i think). my best lap in the car was only a couple of seconds off Ron Simons best time there so pretty pleased with that considering it was a busy trackday. no sound i'm afraid...

(ignore the first run through Puhon)

Nice driving James I'll send Andy the link, I think Puhon was a bit less dramatic than when you took me out! biggrin

I was quite impressed by that 2-11... just a shame it's not got a bit more straight line speed eh!

Not as dramatic as when James took me out we was drifting near the wall around Puhon, some great driving tho James, i felt 100% safe (even sideways) smilebow

Good luck in Formula 3 Bud

thanks for the comments guys.

was great fun to drive but as you say, held back by the lack of power on a circuit like Spa. I only really started pushing the car towards the second part of the afternoon, it took me a while to get comfortable with it (partially due to the 50,000 euro excess). I had started taking more risks when you guys came out in the car. Puhon in particular, i was just seeing how much speed you could take in and with the camber dropping away and trail braking in the back end always wanted to try and get away.
It was exactly what you expect from a lotus like that, very nimble and good at changing direction, just not enough power.

Neil, I think i have the laps with you in the car on camera. i will try and upload when i find them.

The F3 races this weekend didn't go too well. i binned it into the tyre wall at just over 100mph and smashed the back end to pieces. the car was back together by Monday for the races but the engine gremlins i had pre-season can back. was on 3 cylinders again for some reason and there was a misfire on top of that. will post some pics and video when i get a second to edit and upload.

cheers
