I'm feeling very smug with my self for finding this one. It's a real performance bargain

1998 black jaguar xjr v8.
It's covered just 79k with full jag history.
Six months tax and test and a set of newish p zeros.

Inside is like new and everything works even the air con is ice cold.

It drives lovely it's not as much like a boat as you might think. It turns in and grips brilliantly.
And it goes nearly as well as my e46 m3.

Bad points?

There's a few bits of rot on the arches nothing too bad. And the breaks could use looking at. I might have cooked them a bit.

Oh and the fuel consumption.

13.8. Mpg on the run back.

Overall I love it I can't believe what you can get for your money.

Sorry for the poor pics there from the seller I'll post some better ones when I've had a chance to give it a clean up

Now is the time there so cheap.
And that supercharger noise just makes you grin every time.

It's very comfy. But I think I'm going to find it hard to get more than 20 mpg

There total bargains, currently own 3

You say it's almost as quick as your m3, I have driven both and would say in a straight line the XJR would edge it over a standard car

Anyhow looks very nice

IIRC on the eaton blowers there are a pair of oval shaped holes inside that reduce the amount of noise it makes. These can be blocked... wink

Off to the garage this morning to get her up on the ramp and see if there's any hidden nasties lurking underneath.

Might change the brake fluid too. See if that improves things.

I'll try and get some petter pics up.

Update time.

No new pics as all it's done is rain.

The good news is its all solid underneath some kind sole has undersealed it at some point.

There's also no nasty leaks or loose bit on the suspention all in all a result.

The breaks have improved a bit with the fluid change but I think it's got nasty pads in so next job is to change them.
