Hi, just wondered if ayone here has ordered a pistonheads logo recently to stick onto their car? I'm thinking of a sticker next to the rear numberplate, it white. Which size is it best to order? There's a few to choose from and I wondered if people on here had any experience of which size seems to work best.

I've also carbon wrapped the dash, just waiting for the new stereo to arrive and then I'll post some pics, but suffice to say I'm pleased with the finish, so thanks to everyone for the tips, really helped.

I have the same badge to the right of my number plate in the size that is about the same as a drinks coaster, possibly 4 inches or 10cm or so in diameter.

Ghost, are your wheels just the standard estorilles ? They look great on there. I've got them on mine but just ordered some screws for the centre caps, hope mine then look as good as yours !

I ordered a 2 inch one that arrived yesterday.

Not massive, but should look good to the rear of the number plate.

If I ever get chance to wash the car ill stick it on and take a pic!

Mine are not Estorils but "Ford RS Soft Alloys". The were a bit messy (and shiny) when I bought the car just over 2 years ago but £300 to Lepsons and they were fully refurbished, balanced and painted in Ford Flat Silver.

This post prompted me to look at your profile picture and I did a a bit of a double take as our number plates are one digit out and both 4.5's

Probably not uncommon but made me :-)

Yep, that's them thumbup

My 4 are all the same size front and rear so I can only run slightly wider rear tyres at the moment. I have a mate in the trade keeping an eye out for any RS7's with an 8 or 8.5J rim for me so I can beef up the rear tyres a little biggrin

Sorry I forgot to say my set are all 17". I'll post the tyre sizes up when I get home as they are different front and rear.

Brilliant. I've messaged the guy about those white one's to see what he realistically wants as there's a reserve. Might actually look quite nice on my white car .... ?!?

We'll see what he says.

Cheers for your help !

Right, finally managed to get out of the office. My tyres are 215/40 on the front and 225/45 on the rear. I run Falken 452's which are very good but I will upgrade to Toyo's next time as I intend to do a few more track days from now on.

Last year I had Gaz Gold Pros fitted by TVR Power with a "fast road" set up. If you do go ahead and get the 17" wheels I would suggest you get your suspension and tracking looked at due to the difference in size of wheel and tyre compared to what you have now.

For what it is worth the wheel, tyre and suspension set up was the best mod I've made to the car so far. It is now much more planted at speed, feels lovely on corners giving lots of feedback and allows me to push on more with added confidence.
