Hi folks, thought i'd see what this forum was like as i've just brought a nice yr2000 1.8 rev2 (got it Good Friday). Am eventually out for a hoon tonight as my insurance certificate arrived today so can be taxed. My gf has gone to the post office to tax it now, whilst i'm at work, i suspect an empty tank when i get home!

Yes, my first 5 and i'm loving it. It's a return to smaller engined motoring for me after quite a few years but it's a fun machine nevertheless.

I feel very at home in it as sitting low with that bonnet bulge through the windscreen takes me back to my Capri driving youth. This is the first car out of many i've had since then thats really provided as much fun driving (and that includes having bmw's, Supra's etc). It's because the 5 has a special ingredient and i can see why it attracts such a following. I plan to have it for a long time.
