After nearly 4 years of Faultless ownership of a 997 C2S cab, its time to move on...... Gonna miss her, great car, but with a new arrival and the need for more space means it had to go. Thanks guys for all your help over the years invaluable as always, we'll meet again I'm sure thumbup

Although I'm sure the new Maser GTS will ease the pain biggrin

Did you consider the Panamera GTS/Turbo? Superior build quality and drive, but I do understand you lose some of the Ferrari panache.

Did look at them but not a very good looking car IMHO I'm sure they drive well, but not for me, I just love the way the GTS looks, goes and sounds no better looking sounding car....... I'm living the dream.

Saying that will miss the 911 I'm sure, fantastic piece of engineering, but looking forward to the sense of occasion the GTS brings biggrin

IMO, the Panamera is the ugliest car on the road. Porsche even feel the need to stick 'diesel' badges on the doors. hurl

built in the same factory and share engine and gearbox components plus they both go wrong far more often than a porsche hehe

Yep, much better to be sat inside one than looking at it from the outside smile

Modern Maser's are solid.

Another myth IMO. My Italian has been 100% reliable, the Panzer less so!

Had one for a couple of weeks over Christmas and loved the Panamera Diesel, even the engine sounds okay. The interior is very swanky and it was nice having no rattles or creaks for a few days. Then I got the 911 back and forgot about it.

Maser looks and sounds incredible!

My last foray with a Maser was a box fresh 4200GT - straight from the 996TT - The experience was shocking!

Maybe the GTS is a big improvement, but I still suspect general QC and consistency is still not up there with the Germans.

Beautiful though!

I've owned numerous porsches and all bar the 997 c2s which I only had for 8 months all had major issues,my 996 turbo which was a year old had a fire in the engine that nearly killed me,I stupidly then bought a 997 turbo which in the 12 months I had it was off the road for 8 months with electrical faults, ended up making porsche buy it back off me.The 968 had a leaking sunroof ,these were all either new or less than a year old cars ,ive actually found porsche the most unreliable cars I have ever owned along with mercs.
Also have to say been treated like absolute st by their customer service department ,its a good job they are good drives .

I agree,I actually find it offensive to the eye, such a shame as all the other models are now such good looking things, even the cayenne looks good for a huge 4x4.

I was briefly lured by the beauty of the Masers before I bought a 991. But then I sat down and had a think about it and decided it wasn't a good idea. In the same way, whilst I love Italy I wouldn't want to live there.
