XJS Sport Steering Rack

Not sure if I should post here or the Jaguar forum but here goes.

Does anyone know the difference between a standard XJS steering rack and a sport rack for the XJS as made by TWR ?

Does the sport rack has less turns lock to lock, was it used with the same steering pump, does it offer the same level of assistance etc ?

The reason I ask is a friend had a power steering conversion on his Mk2 jaguar. It doesn't seem to offer much power assistance and has never felt quite right. He's just found out that he was supplied with an XJS sport rack with the kit.

The vendor has now told him that he bought the racks as a job lot and they were XJS sport racks made by TWR ?

Any ideas ?

I have the XJR-S 5.3 89 and it has the TWR rack. It offers less assistance but is more precise and you get more feel.
I believe they have a different pump as well. Quite hard to get as well.
A standard XJS rack is about 150 , the Jaguarsport one is about 450
