Originally set myself a colour of Meteorite Silver (black interior) for my purchase of a vantage. However, I've seen the perfect car but it's in Grigio Titanio with Caspian blue interior. Surprisingly looks really nice!

Very tempted now as it's a rare colour in the vantage, probably a lot of Meteorite Silvers around!

Anyone seen the colour in the flesh?

if it's this one

I thought it was a lovely combination. Only thing that stopped me was I was under strict orders to buy from a main dealer !!

Yes.

Any particular reason why? This does have some AM warranty I think.

That's a great looking car ! If you like it go for it as it has Aston warranty until November. Just check the exclusions on the warranty and that those items are all ok .

Personally, I like the colour combination and its nice to see something different to the norm (that said, my preference is still black/black!).

The car seems to be well priced too given it has AM warranty.

I went into a dealership [local to me] - to check that the warranty was transferable. I was hoping they would be able to assure me that it was valid and would be honoured etc., but I couldn't get a straight answer out of them. So I decided to err to the side of caution.

Interesting, I would of thought something like that would be undoubtedly possible. Are you sure they were not trying to put you off buying elsewhere?

I have seen many cars sold privately with AM warranty, in fact I think it's a selling point.

Yes, I'm 100% it should be possible - but I couldn't get the assurance I wanted when spending that much money.

[the downside to them is - if I had bought it, they would have got the servicing etc. - but as I bought from another approved dealer - they won't]

I hope you can because I still think it's a great combination.

You mean get the servicing done?

So I'm assuming you did buy from a main dealer. I dont actually where I buy from as long as the car is "right".

I bought my car from an independent dealer and the balance of the Aston Martin warranty transferred with it.
The dealer also included another (private) warranty for a year after the Aston expired.

- 100% agree, "right" for me included peace of mind with the warranty.

The spec on that car says heated windscreen.... Looking at the switch layout... I'd say it hasn't got a HWsmile

Pardon the ignorance, but was Grigio Titanio (a Ferrari colour AFAIK) a standard colour for the V8V? Or was it a special order?

Now that I think of it, I'm sure I've also seen V8Vs in Tour de France blue and Rosso Corsa, again both Ferrari colours.

Not a bad price for a car of that age and mileage. Prices seem to have firmed up somewhat, as predicted by Mako smile

Gringo Titanio is a great colour, I chose it twice on Astons, albeit with a black interior. As you say a little rarer than some silvers and while it may be a Ferrari colour more Astons are painted in it than Ferraris. Enjoy.

Firmed up generally or due to the weather?

Both !

These prices were falling drastically before Christmas, and continued to do so until last month.

Ironically, now could be a decent time to buy (I bought in March) as the depreciation curve has flattened somewhat smile
