Long Throttle Cable

Hi All,
anyone know anyone in the Maidenehad/Windsor area who can make throttle cables up? I used to go to Sid Moram, but they have disappeared. I need a long throttle cable for my pod, about 2m in length, with a 5mm barrel on one end, and a nipple for a Dellorto carb on the other. I can travel further afeild if necessary, but trying not to spend all the weekend getting blank looks from parts guys, and know most will only be around tomorrow morning.

I have failed to find a useful shop for spares, and the Scooter shop in Maidenhead doesn't seem to cope with non-standard parts.

Edited to add - The existing liner is a little gummed, so not flowing too well. I am loath to try and cut this down, as then I lose my template, but if someone knows of someone who can add a 5mm barrel to the new liner I have that might be a start.

Don't know of anywhere local that make up cables but I have my own kit to make up any size throttle/clutch cables. This kit uses grub screw's to hold on nipples but I have soldered and crimped them on and have lasted for years.
If you want someone local maybe you should approach an AA/RAC man with silver in hand the next time they are sitting in a car park doing nothing. These guys carry this very same kit I have;)

Called around several bike shops, but no one could help. They did recommend Venhill, so I might send them a spec and see what they come up with.

I did manage to use a 3m liner, with a carb end, and then recycle the existing outer, and solder a barrel to the other end. This seems to work, although in putting the carb back on I had to replace some hose and a filter, but the pod is running again.

Try using a normal bicycle brake cable from halfords. It will be a fraction of the price, can get them in all lengths and is exactly the same.
