No accidents, claims, points or anything, just a bill for behaving myself. Can anyone recommend insurance companies? 37 years old with full no claims etc. etc. Last year was £700, this year £850 - S2 Elise.

THis is a favourite subject on most Elise forums:

Elephant and Tesco's usually score quite highly..

I'm with Elephant.

P.S. I'm 28 - 1 years no claims - £880 ( over 10 months )
P.P.S - Sport 160 SVA ( no upgrades - they cost )

Put your wife/girlfriend on the policy, even if she never drives it.

Here is your man:

Chris Jordan of Auto Torque on 0161 278 5226

I am sure they will be about as good as you get!

Tell him Nick referred you. He just sorted my Exige.

Seems quite alot to say mine is £1200. I only have 3yrs no claims and I'm 23 on a 52 plate S2.

Good advice here. I put missus on my S2 Elise 111S, premium dropped by about £40! I pay £545 FC with Tescos. I think the XS is £250. I'm 28, full NCB, car is garaged, and there are no riff-raff round my way, don't you know!

I'm getting quotes for when my 111r arrives in September. I'm 28, living in a quiet rural area, locked garage, no points or incidents, 6yrs NCB. Cheapest overall so far is £1100 from Eggar Lawson which includes 4 track days, £1349 (+ tracker) from Tesco and £1061 (+ tracker) from Direct Line. Bizarrely, AON refused to accept my NCB being transferred from my existing policy as it would still be continuing, so I did not proceed to a quote with them. Liverpool Victoria flat refused to quote as I was under 30!

I am also dealing with Chris at AutoTorque, and he recons he can beat my preferred quote so far (Eggar Lawson) in terms of lower premium and more track days. I'm ringing him at the beginning of next month when he'll have the September rates.

I hope he is as good as you say - he's my last hope of getting under £1k!
