Morning all, could anyone clear something up for me please?

Our car is due for MOT by the 24th April. The tax is due by the end of the month. I have just gone online to tax there but it says there is no valid MOT on the database. Is this because the MOT is within it's last two weeks, or has the garage not bothered entering it onto the database last year?

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Your MOT will have expired before the date you want to tax it from.

MOT it first and then you'll be able to do it online.

Ah I see. Basically it treats it as being the date of expiry rather than the date of renewal. Makes perfect sense now.

Thanks chaps.
