Picked up the new SLK55 this morning, and initial impressions are very good. Havent really had chance on open roads yet, but it was great around Bromley! biggrin Great sound and great pickup, way better than the 997TT which was all turbo lag. Love the colour, and glad I went for something slightly different. The gun metal grey, is sort of bronzey and looks great in the sun.

Looking forward to getting used to it.

Spec was:
Indium Grey
Sahara Nappa Interior
Carbon Fiber trim
Rain Sensor Wipers
Cup Holders
Airscarf
Ambient Lighting
Remote Control roof
18" 10-spoke alloys
Parktronic

Heres some pics

I like the colour!

I think the red RRS in the background is a much braver colour - bet the dealer will be sucking in breath for a good few minutes before giving you a trade-in price for that! ;-)

I couldnt see the point! When its cloudy, I dont want to look at the sky, and when its sunny and blue I put the roof down. Having a semi-opaque class roof is pure gimmick. Now cup-holders, theres an option with true purpose.... biggrin

Very nice, does it sound as glorious as the SL, I imagine it's similar but slightly different?

Just wondering what the performance is like compared to the SL? I think the SLK is normally aspirated, do they do a supercharged version does anyone know? That would be insane!
