Yep, but having a few problems with the free disc space on my laptop (video is nearly 2gb) so posting will have to wait until I can get it sorted.

My laptop is 3 or 4 years old but it was purchased for a business enterprise so is business spec. One of the features is a divided hard drive C: and D: and I can't seem to be able to join them or move stuff to the near empty D: drive from the full C: drive. rolleyes

The existing Red Top 40 battery will start the car, but only just, and they are only supposed to be OK on up to 6 litre engines. The 60 is for over 6 litre engines. clap

It's certainly quiet enough for IVA and quiet trackdays isn't it. Are you happy with it? smile

Nice door colour - is that a BMW colour? Did you do it yourself?

Cheers

Very pleased with the noise level. I hope to be at around 100bd for track days.

The interior is a leather I chose from a company in Scotland and I used a local classic car restorer to trim the car. It has not yet had a lanolin treatment so will change slightly when that is done.

The battery is an old Red Top 40. I have a new Varley Red Top 60 on order which should speed things up.

Is easy as pie now....car looks and sounds good..... Apart from that starter motor.

Question how old is the car and is there any uneven wear on the starter gear when you had it apart ? it sounds like its not engauged enough. There was a issue on some early starter kits with the gears not engauging far enough onto the flywheel.

The Red Top 40 is designed for up to 6.0 litre engines and the 60 for above and has more cranking amps so spins the engine faster and more easily.

We are all adding more electric components to these cars and a bigger battery will hopefully avoid the dreaded non start at the pumps or elsewhere.

Well spotted Clive. The starter motor has got to go back to my supplier to be modified as it is only operating on a very small part of the ring.

I meant the factory supplied odyssey 40 Paul? The performance is virtually identical to odysseys ls7 specific battery.
