What Car Would You Swap Your Car For?
Discussion
I have had many a car - bought several through private sales, many via PH, and also swapped a few, also via PH.
My first swap was an Audi A6 with an M3 Evo vert, then swapped that for an E39 M5 (little cash on top), swapped a Focus ST2 for my current car (s4, again a little cash on top).
Prior to swapping or part exing I was always dubious of the person who contacted me when I was selling to do a swap, but without fail, all have gone smoothly and always with petrolheads who have had the same passion for cars, and the same urge to experience as many varieties as possible with the least hassle - i.e. not going through the often fraught buying and selling game.
So what would you swap your car for, have you done it, and how has it gone?

I may be tempted by a Corolla T Sport, but only because I want to see what the screaming N/A engine is all about.
The Honda K20A is a far, far better implementation of that concept. The Toyota lump is fine in my Elise, but it doesn't sound as good as the Honda and I think I'd dislike the Toyota engine in a heavier car. Such a shame Lotus didn't go for the Honda engine.otolith said:

I'd usually go straight the Civic Type R EP3 but a friend of mine has one (and a very good one at that) do it would seem a shame to get the EP3 when we I could try something else, and by accounts the Corolla can shift when it wants to. Though it has as many detractors as it has fans, I've been unkind about it in the past but I do want to try one out. EDLT said:
Most people would call that buying rather than swapping.
Technically yes, thanks for the pedantry. You get the idea of the question I am asking - sometimes swaps become p/exes if there's a slight difference in value, but to be honest I can't be bothered correcting the post and everyone else seemed to get it. But thanks anyway ;o)Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
